Our main objective is to procure and produce educative, informative and entertaining Afrocentric Programs for children within the ages of 0-14 years. Our aim is to provide world-class, international standard Afrocentric content varying between animation and real-life drama.
These shows primarily portray beautiful and well-made creations of Nubian and urbane excellence. They will be multifaceted ranging from teaching values to morals to education, creativity, combining the learning process of a child with the depth and vibrance of an Afrocentric spirit.
The focus is to showcase the creative abilities of children while also educating them with worthy content that encourages proper stimulation of a growing child.
Afrocentrism in this context is a combination of cultures that show the vibrance of black excellence. From the Pacific islands to the beaches of the Caribbean, to beautiful Sub-Saharan Africa. It also includes African based content created by Non-Africans.
The content being shown on the channel is divided into the following age groups:

C-Zone occupies a 2-hour time belt on the AwaTv channel on Mondays to Fridays from 4pm to 6pm with a Saturday morning Omnibus from 6.30 to 8.am and a Sunday afternoon Omnibus from 1.30pm to 3pm.
C-Zone aims to show content for Children across these ranges, divided into different times.
The suggestion is:
4:00pm to 4:30pm: 0-4 years (Toddlers and Preschoolers)
4:30pm to 5:00pm: 5-8 years (School Age)
5:00pm to 5:30pm: 9-12 years (Preteens)
5:30pm to 6:00pm: 13-18 years (Teenagers)
A working concept for the channel is to have breaks before the switch to a new age group and have characters come on screen to introduce the beginning of the section and close the section. These characters can either be animated or real children, as the goal is to use characters representative of the age grade. The breakdown is as follows:
Toddlers 0-2 years: Character will be an animated male or female. A voice over recorded by a child of the same age grade will be used for the character.
Pre-schoolers 2-4 years: Character will be an animated male or female. A voice over recorded by a child of the same age grade will be used for the character.
School Age 5-8 years: the character will be real and of the same grade.
Pre-teens 9-12 years: the character will be real
Teens 13-14 years: the character will be real.
These characters will be seen as Mascots for the channel.
The plan is to put out auditions for children and voice actors, have them send in auditions and pick out who sounds best/ who fits what we’re looking for.
C-Zone will develop a Children’s club.
The Children’s club is an online club and a safe space for children to express and engage and interact with one another. They will have creative outlets, educational lessons, Story time sessions, dramas, News commentary, Talent hunt etc. The children will meet online to play games, share experiences, work on quizzes, share jokes and other activities.
There will also be a birthday segment where birthdays of members will be celebrated on the channel in real time which will also be linked up to their social media for birthday wishes from their friends and well-wishers.
On the last Saturday of every month, children born in that month will be invited to a social event organized by the Children’s club to mark their birthday.
Other events will include community service like clean-up of beaches, drainages, etc., visits to motherless homes, visits to the elderly and physically challenged. The children will work on special projects like building drones, robots, and Artificial intelligence projects. Others may include travels and tours depending on when security and safety is restored.
The idea is to advertise the creation of the club on the channel and encourage children to join. Membership will be seen as exclusive, and all children will want to be members.
The club will start with 50 members. Once a member reaches the age of 14, they officially graduate from the club.
The official name for the club is still under discussion.
